Ice is Food
Ok, maybe ice isn't exactly food but ice is water and water grows food ergo... ice is food.
AND
Ice is refrigeration. Without the early ice trade in the 19th century, industrialization would not have occurred in the same manner. The delivery of ice allowed for food supplies to last longer and helped overt food spoilages that caused illness.
