A Skip and a Jump

Tenaya Lake, originally named "Pie-we-wack"  or Lake of the Shining Rocks", is an alpine lake located in Yosemite National Park.  The lake basin was created by the Tenaya Glacier which left behind the surrounding backdrop of granite rock. In 2011 funds were dedicated to the restoration and conservation of the lake habitat through rerouting hiking trails away from sensitive wetlands. This image was shared by Andrew D.
