Goose Pasture Tarn
Goose Pasture Tarn, a
771-acre-foot reservoir in Summit County, Colorado. It is the
principal domestic water-storage facility for the Town of Breckenridge and
collects runoff from approximately 42 square miles of the upper Blue River
watershed. In 2005, a geological study of the sedimentation deposit in the tarn
was conducted by the US Geological
Survey. Since 1965 the surface area and the reservoir capacity have lessened.
