Millerton Lake
Millerton Lake was created by construction of the Friant Dam across the San Joaquin River in 1944 as part of the California Central ValleyProject.The lake stores water for irrigation, which is distributed by the Madera and Friant-KernCanals to the San Joaquin Valley.
